Course Objectives The science of microbiology aims to teach study areas, microorganisms, appropriate sample collection, microbiological preparation preparation, disinfection and sterilization methods.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To learn about the life of microorganisms. To learn about the disease mechanism of microorganisms. To learn about the importance of etiological diagnosis.
Course Content Microorganism groups and characteristics, microbial flora and characteristics, sterilization and disinfection methods, microscopy, direct examination, preparation and staining methods, media, cultivation methods and colony characteristics, antibiotic susceptibility tests, appropriate sample collection, reasons for sample rejection and sending samples to the laboratory.
