Course Objectives To get to know the service provided in the operating room, to learn the working principles and rules. To gain the ability to know and use the operating room technical equipment, features, and tools and equipment used.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • At the end of this course, students will: - Know and use the equipment in the operating room, - Know and apply sterilization methods, - Be able to position the patient appropriately for surgery with the team, - Ensure and maintain the creation of a surgical field in the surgery.
Course Content Equipment required in the operating room, preparation of the operating room for surgery, the features of the surgical sets, special materials and special sets, classification and sampling of surgical instruments, assisting the surgical table preparation, the procedure of preparing the patient for surgery, the importance of the position to be given to the patient in accordance with the surgical procedure to be performed.
