Course Objectives The main objective of this course is to enable students to develop ideas on how to adapt to and improve the current changes in e-commerce and to learn how to design websites and to provide practical e-commerce usage and necessary information.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Ability to explain the basic concepts and evolving structure of e-commerce.
  • Ability to evaluate e-commerce market mechanisms and digital platform dynamics.
  • Ability to evaluate consumer behavior, customer service, and digital advertising practices.
  • Ability to compare different e-commerce models (B2B, C2C, e-learning, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze the legal framework, ethical issues, and cybercrimes in e-commerce.
  • Ability to analyze order, supply, and payment processes.
  • Ability to conduct case studies and develop solutions for e-commerce applications.
Course Content Types of e-commerce, business paradigms, fundamental concepts, tools of e-commerce, types of payment, types of infrastructure such as communication, technology and payment infrastructure, current positions of Turkish companies in e-commerce and data storage technologies for e-business.
