Course Objectives This course helps students to see the power of media as knowledge source, to see how mass media messages are build and to learn that messages can be understood differently by different people. Besides, they will have improved their writing, interpreting and listening skills as well. This course aims to help students to gain skills to analyse mass media and to become a perfect media literate. They will improve their close reading and critical reading skills from KAM 331 and KAM 332.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Learn the analysis of mass media massages
  • Easily express their ideas about media, mass media, media literacy and media messages
  • Review the truthiness of the media messages by comparing from different resources
  • Create media messages according to its aim and target audience
  • Recognize the difference among the mass media
