Course Objectives This course aims to introduce general principles and techniques for experimental measurement of stresses and strains and therefore force, pressure and torque.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
Course Content Review of elasticity fundamentals, strain measurement methods, gauge selection, bonding surface preparation, strain gauge circuits, sources of error, strain gauge excitation levels, force, torque and pressure measurements, special-purpose gauges, rosette analysis, corrections for transverse effects, industrial applications.
