The thesis-based Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering is an advanced research-based degree. The program offers students an opportunity to work at the highest level of research, under the supervision of a faculty member. the department offers a direct BS to Ph.D. program. This program is limited to students with excellent academic transcripts and demonstrated the potential for advanced research. Final admission to the Ph.D. program is granted by the Graduate Committee.
