Course Objectives Learning by innovative architectural research, projects and design practices which envisage the indivisibility of nature-culture&technology and landscape-urbanism-architecture in the ecology and tectonics of urban and rural settlements. Seeking and sharing with society of responses to present and foreseeable local / global situations, changes and developments in future by means of architectural design. Proposals of original design project subjects that observe these aims are expected from faculty members. The proposals presented to the Department Council are discussed prior to their approval.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • The student who accomplishes this course: - Develops an innovative method, adapt an already known method, design and/or practice to another field. - Can conceive, design, adapt, implement and communicate an original subject. - Conceives the interdisciplinary interaction which the field is related with; comes up with original solutions by using knowledge requiring proficiency on analysis, synthesis and assessment of new and complex ideas. - Develops new ideas and methods in the field by using high level mental processes such as creative and critical thinking, problem solving and decision making. - Develops an ability to cohesively design and execute a comprehensive presentation of the design/research output.
Course Content Innovative architectural research, projects and design practices which envisage the indivisibility of nature-culture and technology and landscape-architecture in the ecology and tectonics of urban and rural, and develop responses to present and foreseeable local/global situations.

1 Introduction and discussion of the subject matter of the project
2 Procurement of the required knowledge and data in accordance with the parameters defined for the design to be developed
3 Development of design ideas with studio criticisms and through discussions (individual or group work)
4 Interim jury evaluation with the participation of external invited members well-versed in different aspects of the subject matter
5 Continuation of the development of design work with studio criticisms
6 2.nd interim jury evaluation with the participation of external invited members
7 Continuation of studio criticisms and work on final presentations for final jury evaluation
8 Continuation of work on final presentations and final jury evaluation with the participation of external invited members
