Course Objectives This course aims to teach students which diseases are included in neurological rehabilitation and how these diseases affect the patient's functional status, to evaluate the physical dimension of the health status, to evaluate the quality of life in close relation to it, and to learn how rehabilitation studies are carried out in this field and the principles that should be taken into consideration.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • By the end of this course, students will: Learn about neurological diseases, Have sufficient knowledge about appropriate treatment programs for these diseases, Have knowledge about neurological assessment methods.
Course Content Approach to the neurological patient, neurophysiological exercise mechanisms, spasticity mechanism, rehabilitation in balance disorders, physical therapy in hemiplegic patients, physical therapy in traumatic brain injuries, physical therapy in spinal cord injury, physical therapy in neuromuscular diseases, physical therapy in peripheral nerve injuries, physical therapy in patients with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson patients physical therapy, neurogenic bladder, intestine, pressure ulcers, orthos
