Course Objectives Examining the historical development of surgery is to provide students with knowledge and general culture on this subject.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • At the end of this course, students will: -Know the historical development of the health sector. -Recognize the development stages of the devices and technology used.
Course Content History of medicine, surgical and medical practices in history, definition, use and development of surgical instruments from past to present, the development of surgery, development of evidence-based medicine, Turkish surgery in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, developments in the world.
