Course Objectives The aim of this course is to provide the student with basic knowledge on the definition of surgical diseases related to the systems, diagnostic methods, surgical intervention methods, surgical complications and their elimination.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • At the end of this course, students will: - Distinguish basic concepts in surgery. - Know the surgical stress response to trauma. - Distinguish surgical infections. - Apply wound care with Carrehi aseptic technique. - Distinguish postoperative complications.
Course Content Introduction to surgery , requirements of secure surgery and medical ethics, surgical standarts and procedures, operating room, equipments and sets for surgery, asepsis, antisepsis, disinfection and sterilization before surgery, pain management with anesthesia, gastrointestinal tract surgery, nervous system surgery, respiratory system, surgery, urogenital tract surgery, heart and vascular surgery, endocrine system surgery, musculoskeletal surgery, postoperative complications and elimination "
