Course Objectives Spatial and social analysis of the immediate environment of the site for an architectural project with functional complexity aiming at human and social relationship; at understanding of the close relationship of urban identity, social and cultural identity with architecture.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • The student who accomplishes this course: - Develops skill for design of space with predominantly social/public functional complexity and for critical thinking. - Uses the knowledge acquired related to environmental control systems and transportation (vehicular and pedestrian) systems. - Reflects research data acquired in orientation with developments in architecture and analysis made.
Course Content Environmental analysis and study of the existing nearby built environment for a fuunctionally complex architectural design project that encompasses human and social environment relations; individual development of an architectural design supported by studio work and criticisms. Pre-requisite: MMR 202 Architectural Design II

1 Handing out the form that explains the method and administering of the course, scheduling of the project development and evaluation system; giving information. Declaration, explanation, elaboration of the design subject; questions directed regarding the design subject and answers. Distribution of the data for the site decided for design; observations / studies of the site
2 Presentation of analysis sheets Theoretical and conceptual discussions on readings; discussions on exemplar projects Discussions on function; drafts of requirement program Submission of group and individual models
