Course Objectives Understanding World Architecture. Setting forth the basic tenets of the movements, thoughts and experiences which have given direction to architecture in the 20th and 21st centuries. To introduce closely the architectural culture with its theories and practices, by exposing the relation of architecture with social, cultural, artistic, economic, technological development and change.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • .Students who accomplish this course: - Develop an understanding of the basic tenets of the movements, thoughts and experiences that have given direction to 20th and 21st century architecture. - Develop the competence to think about the social, cultural, artistic, economic, and technological influences on Contemporary Architecture. - Become familiar with architectural culture. - Can make criticisms and interpretations on contemporary architecture.
Course Content Transhistorical principles of design through works that have chronologically left their traces; handling of these principles together with the developments in the periods that these works belong.
