Course Objectives This course is aimed to introduce to the students the methods to filter the meanings of the numbers reported in financial statements.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To analyze the data that are provided by the financial statements
  • To make interpretations regarding the financial position of a firm
  • To use the techniques to compare the profitability, liquidity, capital structure, market value, operating efficiency of a company with its past values, with the competitors’ values and the sector averages
Course Content Basic financial statements: Balance Sheet and income statement, cash flow statement, statement of changes in stockholders’ equity, vertical analysis, trend analysis and ratio analysis are the main subjects that are held in this course.
