Course Objectives The aim of the course is to give information about the documentation methodologies, measuring and analyzing techniques in the modern reservation of cultural heritage theories.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Make building survey on immobile cultural assets and prepare restoration projects.
  • Apply the basic measurement and documentation techniques of immobile cultural assets.
  • Use the graphical communication and research.
  • Work in a team.
Course Content The documentation of historical buildings and related traditional and modern measuring techniques; preparing pre-researches of selected historical building in the context of the preparation of restoration project; explanation of drawing techniques and mapping of deterioration analyzes and periods on 1/50, 1/20, and 1/10 scaled drawings.
