Course Objectives The aim of this course is to examine film adaptations of Shakespeare’s selected plays to develop students’ awareness of Shakespeare studies. During the course, Shakespeare’s romances, tragedies and problem plays will be studied in detail. The thematic, technical and stylistic contribution of each play and their representation on cinema will be thoroughly analysed with reference to relevant literary theory where applicable.
