Course Objectives This course is designed to trace and examine the main trends, currents and developments in English poetry in the twentieth century by studying, in some detail, selected poems by major poets.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • are familiar with the effects of historical, cultural ve social events shaping the twentieth century English poetry,
  • know the types of contents of the poems written in the twentieth century,
  • are able to analyze poetry.
Course Content 20th century major poetic movements, trends, poets and poems in modern British poetry.
