Course Objectives The aim of the course is to enable the student to develop their knowledge and skills to recognize and interpret Restoration and 18th century Theater with its characteristics and its development and also to analyze selected plays by notable playwrights from a variety of critical and theoretical frameworks.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • comprehend the meaning of Restoration and its historical, political and cultural significance and that of the 18th century.
  • become knowledgeable of the dramatic developments and of the playwrights of the period under study.
