THE 5TH ANKARA LITERATURE CONFERENCE FOR GRADUATE AND UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
“Machines and Humans”
The 5th Ankara Literature Conference for Graduate and Undergraduate Students, jointly organised by TED University and Ankara University, will be held in person at TED University on 13 March 2026.
This year’s theme, “Humans and Machines,” invites students to explore the multifaceted relationship between human life and technology as represented in literature, culture, and the arts. The conference welcomes graduate students and senior (4th-year) undergraduate students from English Language and Literature and American Culture and Literature departments in Ankara.
The conference will include three sessions (nine presenters in total) reserved for MA students and one Creative Writing session (four presenters), in addition to undergraduate presentations. We invite papers addressing the intersections of humanity, technology, and creativity, including but not limited to:
▪ Artificial intelligence and literary imagination
▪ The mechanization of emotion and thought
▪ Posthumanism and the redefinition of “the human”
▪ Cyborg identities and hybrid bodies
▪ The digital condition in literature and culture
▪ Technoscience and ethics in fiction
▪ Machines, automation, and the future of work
▪ Surveillance, simulation, and algorithmic life
▪ Human–machine communication and language
▪ Creative representations of technology in contemporary art and writing
In addition to academic papers, we invite emerging poets, writers, and artists to present their creative works engaging with the themes of humans and machines through poster presentations.

▪ 1 March 2026 – Announcement of the Conference Programme
▪ 10 March 2026 – Submission of Presentation Files by Participants
