Announcement Regarding The Graduation Ceremony For The Academic Year Of 2022-2023
14.07.2023

  • The graduation ceremony for the Academic Year of 2022-2023 takes place on August 11-12-13, 2023, in three sessions, at the Amphitheater.
  • The ceremony is for the graduates of the Fall and Spring Semesters of 2022-2023, the Summer School of 2022-2023, and the prospective graduates of the Fall Semester of 2023-2024 (excluding Graduate Schools).
  • Regalia deliveries are to take place between July 26 - August 8, 2023 (between 10:00-12:00 and 13:00-17:00 Monday through Friday, and until 16:00 on August 8) at the Kadriye Zaim Hall at the Library. Students are to attend the ceremony with their regalia, and appropriate outfits. (Shorts, flip-flops, sandals, etc. are not appropriate for the ceremony.)
  • Graduates are required to pay the deposit of 1200 TL by card via the Virtual POS system on ATACS/ UNACS between July 26 - August 8, 2023 in order to receive their regalia. Since your deposit transactions are made through ATACS/ UNACS so they remain as processing payments to be returned to you, and since the system closes at 16:00 on August 8; graduates not having received their regalia until then will be unable to attend the graduation ceremony.
  • In the event where graduates are unable to receive their regalia in person, and have provided the name of the individual to do so instead in the relevant field of the form; the appointed individual may receive the regalia for graduates (with the condition to present their own Republic of Türkiye Citizenship ID card). Individuals other than those appointed by graduates themselves via the forms shall not be provided with the regalia of graduates. Graduates’ decisions regarding their delivery persons may not be changed afterwards.
  • Graduates are to return their regalia by August 18, 2023; at the same location (between 10:00-12:00 and 13:00-17:00, or until 21:00 on the day of graduation). No regalia or deposit payment returns will be possible after this date.
  • Deposit payments are to be returned via the card used by graduates for deposit payments provided that regalia are returned in the same condition as they were borrowed; and that they are returned on time.
  • Deposit returns will be subjected to a discount of 800 TL for missing pieces, tears, and adjustments on cloaks; 200 TL for missing pieces, tears, and visible damage on caps; and 200 TL for missing pieces, tears, visible damage, and adjustments on scarves. The medallion that completes the regalia is a keepsake for our graduates.
  • No separate regalia sets will be provided to graduates of Double-Major programs.
  • The seating arrangement and the seat numbers for students receiving their regalia are to be published at our website. Graduates are expected to take their seats at least an hour before the ceremony begins.
  • Since students will be invited to the stage with respect to a list of names, we urge you to pay attention to the presenter, and be seated only at your assigned seat. This is to aid us with the progression of the ceremony, and with the presentation of your diplomas.
  • A professional team will be photographing and videotaping the event. The ceremony will be live streamed on the official YouTube account of the Atılım University Alumni Association.
  • We urge our guests to remain at their assigned seats and designated areas rather than approaching the stage even to take photos or videos, to ensure the smooth progression of the ceremony.
  • Since the District Directorate of Health is required to verify the diplomas of the students from the School of Health Sciences and the Vocational School of Healthcare Services (the process may take 20 to 30 days), graduates of these schools will only be receiving a Certificate of Achievement, to receive their actual diplomas at a later date.
  • If you are a Spring semester student having gained eligibility to receive your diploma at the ceremony;
    • Please check the administrative approval for your graduation approval status via the “Graduation Approval Status” page under the “Course Registration and Graduation Transactions” menu on the ATACS system. If your administrative approvals are incomplete, you should contact the departments with missing administrative approvals to request information, and if any, complete your payment or delivery transactions regarding the fees, or the materials that you may have (books, devices, sports equipment etc.); until 07.08.2023.
    • No diplomas will be issued for the graduates of the Fall Semester of 2022-2023.
