Message from the Program Coordinator

Dear Students,

The Program in Operating Room Services at Atılım University Vocational School of Health Services welcomed its first students to pursue their associate degrees in the Academic Year of 2021-2022. The Operating Room (OR) Services Program is a program where we aim to train auxiliary surgical health personnel who have received universal training and who may work as members of surgical teams in the continuation of operating room services in an operating room environment, perhaps the most vital setting for patients, as well as in the preparation of the environment, sterilization, and the process from patient reception to exit.

One of the biggest goals of our university is to train leaders in their fields who have sustainable professional awareness in the changing world conditions, who may improve and update themselves. Graduates of this program find employment at operating rooms and intensive care units in public or private health institutions as “Operating Room Technicians”. Upon graduation as Operating Room Technicians, out graduates may seize the provisions of “Regulations on the Continuation of Undergraduate Education of the Associate Degree Program Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education” and, if there is a quota in their field, they may register to undergraduate programs in Nursing, Nursing and Health Services, Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Health Management and Social Services, determined by ÖSYM, via the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).

I wish a productive education life to our students who aim to become OR Technicians, who regard helping patients and their colleagues as a source of motivation in their working lives, and those who will join our department in the upcoming academic year.
