Course Objectives The aim of this course is to get students familiar with the basic concepts and the importance of job analysis for the other human resource management activities and to have students transform their theoretical knowledge into practice.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • - To be familiar with the basic concepts of job analysis such as purposes and uses of job analysis, work- and worker-oriented job analysis methods, hybrid methods of job analysis, job analysis for managerial jobs and teams etc.
  • To understand the importance of job analysis for the other human resource management activities such as personnel selection, performance appraisal, training, legal issues etc.
  • To be able to apply the job analysis relevant theoretical knowledge in a real life work setting through conducting a job analysis
Course Content The nature of job, the application of job analysis methods and approaches, the current job analysis methods and approaches, environmental and organizational influences, purposes of performance appraisals, obtaining information about performance, performance standarts, processes in evaluating judgement, error and accuracy measures.
