Course Objectives The goal of this course is to inform the students about the current information on psychoactive substances from basic references in the scientific literature and provide them the critical aspects of psychopharmacology which they will probably encounter in clinical settings.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Gain knowledge of current information on psychoactive substances
  • Understand the characteristics of psychoactive drugs
  • Learn the psychoactive drugs, their working principles in the nervous system, and their effects on the brain and on the behavior
  • Gain knowledge of psychopharmacological medications, their basic taxonomy, indications, contraindications, and side-effects
