Course Objectives Designing and producing an artist book.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • - Explains the history of the book. - Discusses the concept of the artist book. - Recognizes the stage of solving design problems in book format. - Analyzes the problem and does the necessary research. - Generates ideas about possible solutions with sketches and models. - Finds and applies the most appropriate one among the ideas developed. - They try printing techniques suitable for the idea. - Uses various printing and reproduction techniques effectively in the application of the developed ideas. - Recognizes the necessary format, folding and binding techniques. - Uses these techniques to visualize the idea. - Reaches the visual designed in idea sketches and models. - Handles the book as a form of transmission. - defends the idea. - responds to criticism. - exhibits and presents visual expansions that support the idea. - Presents and criticizes the designed visual. - Learns the stages of transferring technical information into book form. - Recognizes printing and reproduction derivatives and techniques. - Tries different production techniques. - Presents the project he/she produced.
