Course Objectives Philosophy of law makes use of philosophy in order to carry out overall examinations of the law, jurisprudence and legal institutions. The purpose of the class is to help students dealing with fundamental issues such as the definition of law, the requirements for legal legitimacy and the relationship between the law and the morality.f law.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students will be introduced to the critical study of the history of legal philosophy
  • The course will lead students to define the concept of right, punishment and liability
  • The course will lead students to compare the philosophy of law schools and guide to the modern trends in philosophy of law
Course Content Natural law theory, the formal understanding of law: legal positivism.
