| Course Objectives | The aim of this course is to enable the students to have theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Surgical Nursing, to use the nursing process with a holistic and systematic approach, to apply nursing care, to carry out training and counseling roles, to collaborate with the health team and to think critically. |

| Course Content | Definition of the surgeon and its effects on the patient, perioperative care, wound healing, fluid-electrolyte balance in surgery, homeostasis, shock, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, aseptic methods, control of hospital infections, surgical diseases of the body systems and nursing care, orthopedics, transplantation, breast diseases, ear-nose-throat, eye diseases and nursing care, burn and nursing care, surgery pain and nursing care. |
