Course Objectives The aim of this course is to make sure that the student has knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of occupational health nurse on occupational health and safety team, occupational health and safety in the world and in our country andwhat to do for the development of occupational health nursing.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Know primary, secondary and tertiary protection measures for health risks and problems of workers.
  • Participates in work-inspections and periodic follow-ups.
  • Plans health education for the needs of employees.
  • Identify and take measures of workplace environmental factors and health risks.
Course Content Definition of occupational health and safety, work and health relationship,occupational health and safety and the historical development of workplace nursing,evaluation of employee health, evaluation of workplace environment and risk analysis,occupational diseases, widespread occupational health problems and occupational accidents, health education / counseling at workplace, legislation and ethical issues,case management in occupational health nursing.
