Course Objectives The aim of this course is to learn the instrumentation and calibration principles of various tests included in the test batteries of the science of audiology.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Learn about the equipment used in audiology test batteries.
  • Know the equipment and innovations used in pure tone audiometry testing.
  • Learn the working principles and hardware/software of acoustic impedance and otoacoustic emission testing devices.
  • Learn the hardware and software features of auditory potential testing equipment.
  • Identify the stimuli used in audiology.
  • Learns how to prepare audiogram forms and audiological patient history forms for children and adults.
  • Knows the working principle of sound pressure level measuring devices.
  • Learns the calibration methods of audiological equipment.
Course Content Basic features of the method, measurement, technical devices used in audiological and vestibular evaluation and the application principles.
