| Course Objectives | This course aims to provide undergraduate audiology students with a comprehensive understanding of the neuroscientific foundations of auditory perception, central auditory processing, and functional hearing. The course focuses on explaining listening difficulties that occur despite normal peripheral hearing, emphasizing sound localization, speech perception in noise, central auditory processing disorder (CAPD), and electrophysiological assessment methods. Students are expected to develop clinical reasoning skills for evaluating functional listening abilities in real-life environments. |
