Course Objectives Plan of creating landscape architecture profession with other professional disciplines to achieve aesthetic and practical interaction of disipline projects.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Know about using SWOT analysis in site planning
  • Learn about establishment of standards for open and green areas
  • Can develop proposals according to standards in transportation (pedestrian, vehicular, bicycle, autoparks, handicapped
  • Develop the skill in optimum use of the topography in site-built form relationship
  • Develops understanding and use of scales at different levels
Course Content Various approaches to site-planning and application of planning techniques in architectural design.

Weekly Subjects and Releated Preparation Studies

1 Introduction to course, content, format, method, design topic; selecting the design area; and giving information about the design area.
2 Survey analysis of campus project area. - Making SWOT (Strength-Weakness-Opportunities-Threatens)and analysis about the current conditions (topography, climate, traffic,..exc) of the area. -Making land utilization sheets.
3 Presentation of analysis sheets and discussion. Assignment-1: Worldwide university campus designs.
4 Introduction to concept plan model works in the direct of analysis
5 On the basis of concept plan model, preparing the preliminary project.
6 On the basis of preliminary project, preparing the site-plan.
7 Developing of the site-plan/design.
8 MIDTERM JURY & CRITICS -1
9 Survey analysis of conceptual holiday village project in Mogan Watershed. - Making SWOT (Strength-Weakness-Opportunities-Threatens) and analysis about the current conditions (topography, climate, traffic,..exc) of the area. -Making land utilization sheets.
10 Presentation of analysis sheets and discussion. Assignment-2: Worldwide holiday village designs.
11 Introduction to concept plan model works in the direct of analysis
12 On the basis of concept plan model, preparing the preliminary project.
