Course Objectives In this course, students discuss the importance of parliament, parliament's function, parliamentary working procedures in parliamentary democracies and other important issues. This course focuses on parliaments which are the most important organs of representative democracies and its principles and ınstıtutions.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • - Students who successfully complete this course able to; Exemplify democracy and parliamentary relations.
  • - Explain importance of parliaments
  • They explain parliament’s functions, authority and processes.
  • Comment on the relationship of the legislative and executive powers to each other
  • Critically evaluate the impact of the Constitutional Court on the legislative processes.
Course Content Democratic political representation, parliamentary debate, legislate, control of government, be elected as a member of parliament sufficiency, legislative immunity, the working order GNAT.
