Course Objectives The main goal of the course is to address the legal rules regarding the solution of the problems faced by persons or institutions in the contracts of diagnosis and treatment; the responsibilities of the hospitals and the rights and obligations of the patient; the nature of the contract between the patient and the health institution; rules to be applied in case of breach of contract; mutual rights and obligations; by examining the special regulation issues of a number of special interventions; to provide information about provisions related to health law.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Identifies problems related to health law.
  • Classifies health institutions.
  • Explain patient's rights and obligations.
  • Solves the legal disputes between the patient and the physician.
  • Practice of health law provisions in legal relations between physician and patient.
Course Content The legal relationship between patient and medical doctors; the rights and responsibilities of the hospitals and patients, the contracts between the parties, the pecuniary and criminal liability of medical staff and hospitals.
