Course Objectives The aim of the course is to examine the 20th century British poetry by focussing on illustrative examples of the era which react to 19th century Romanticism or Victorian poetry in terms of representing a new world and culture.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • have gained advanced knowledge of the main trends and developments in modern British Poetry,
  • have developed their awareness and understanding of the complex relation between modern British Poetry and its contexts,
  • have improved their ability to do a detailed and informed analysis of poems.
