Course Objectives This course aims to provide a better understanding of the direction on which the Republic of Turkey has turned since the foundation of the Republic of Turkey by addressing the westernization and Europeanization literatures.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Get familiar with the literature on Westernisation and Europeanisation with regard to Turkey’s historical development in socio-political terms.
Course Content Turkey?s socio-political change with especial regard to the recent literature on and debates over Westernisation and Europeanisation.
