Course Objectives This course will introduce the concepts and applications of personality assessment. The aim is to provide a theoretical base for personality assessment, develop skills for using tests for personality assessment i.e., an ability to administer, score and interpret the results of personality tests.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Get familiarized with personality assessment by using self-report inventories and projective methods
  • Understand the rationale of using tests for personality assessment
  • Have an understanding of ethics related to assessment according to APA Code of Conduct
  • Integrate test results with interview and observation data, and psychopathology knowledge
  • To learn how to write assessment reports consistent with the test results
Course Content Assessment ethics; assessment devices used in clinical practice; administration, scoring and interpreting MMPI; projective techniques; Beier Sentence Completion Test and report writing.
