Course Objectives Questioning the relation between art and society within historical process. Learning original printing techniques and actualizing the transformation to artistic designs. Grasping the position and significance of original printing within graphic design.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • The Students know and talk about relevant art periods, originating causes and characteristics.
  • The Students know original printing techniques, form appropriate composition.
  • The Students make the composition as pattern and print.
  • The Students know the importance of original printing techniques in the domain of Graphic Design.
  • The Students know and implement printing and duplication stages from design to product and duplication.
Course Content The history of printmaking, art history, and graphic artists; the original techniques of these artists; monotype print works with natural or synthetic materials, and print basic information about the logic of the image;hHigh-pressure techniques, linocut and woodcut printmaking techniques.
