Course Objectives The purpose of this course is to give the mythology and iconography as a conceptual point of view, providing information about the rise of myths, their meaning and effect of art history; examining interactions between mythology and culture and implications in art and design.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • 1) Learns the relation between mythology, iconography and culture
  • 2) Has knowledge about world mythology
  • 3) Learns relations between mythology, art and design
Course Content Birth of mythology, its meaning and affects, species of myth, classical and World mythology; subjects of mythology and art; mythology, culture and ideology; mythology and design.
