Course Objectives The aim of this course is to provide the student with up-to-date and evidence-based knowledge on women's health, as well as fundamental information about the roles and responsibilities of the nurse.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • LO1. Recognize the psychosocial factors affecting women's health.
  • LO2. Be familiar with women's reproductive and sexual rights and the relevant legal processes in Turkey.
  • LO3. Understand the impact of global warming on women's health.
  • LO4. Identify and discuss ethical issues affecting women's health.
  • LO5. Understand the nurse's role in initiatives aimed at improving the status of women.
  • LO6. Recognize the importance of palliative care in gynecologic oncology and the roles of the nurse.
  • LO7. Develop recommendations to promote women's health.
  • LO8. Understand the responsibilities of the nurse in preventing misogyny and domestic violence.
Course Content The effects of changes in the health system on women's health, statistical evaluations about women's health, evidence-based practices in women's health, psychosocial and political structures affecting women's health, feminism, violence against women and misogyny.
