Course Objectives The aim of this course is to raise students' awareness of the concept of sexual health, to evaluate the current state of sexual health, its key indicators, and its importance within comprehensive healthcare services in both the world and Turkey, to develop sensitivity and respect towards individuals' reproductive and sexual rights, and to equip students with the ability to identify sexual health issues in society and propose solutions.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • LO1. Define the concept of sexual health and explain its place and importance within a healthy lifestyle.
  • LO2. Describe the sexual health problems individuals may encounter across different life stages (childhood, adolescence, adulthood, old age).
  • LO3. Analyze the factors affecting sexual health.
  • LO4. Critically evaluate attitudes and practices related to individuals' reproductive and sexual rights.
  • LO5. Follow current research on sexual health.
Course Content Nurse's roles and responsibilities in the protection and promotion of sexual health, sexual rights and reproductive rights.
