Course Objectives 3d modelling of a designed product in 3ds Max.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Knows 3ds Max interface.
  • Models objects using Boolean Modelling technique.
  • Models objects using spline modelling.
  • Models objects using polygon modelling technique.
Course Content The course aims the 3d visualization of the student projects using 3ds Max.

2 Modifier commands (Moving, rotating, scaling) Examining how the object will move
3 Creating basic 3d geometries (Standard primitives) Creating 2d shapes (splines) Examining box, sphere, cylinder, etc.; spline, rectangular, ellipse, etc.
4 Copying techniques (Copy, array) Aligning command (Align) Examining how object is coppied Examining aligning the objects
5 Boolean modelling technique Examining the interaction between objects
6 Proboolean command Examining how proboolean command works
7 Modelling a detailed object using proboolean command Research on creating small pieces, which form a whole, using proboolean

9 Modelling with Splines Examining creating 3d objects using 2d splines
10 Controlling the lines using vertex, segment and spline elements and extrude command Examining the elements that form splines
11 Modelling a detailed object using spline modelling technique Analyzing and examining the preparation of an object's structure made of lines
