SPORTS HALL USAGE RULES
Sports Activities Directorate
Our university’s sports hall is operated in accordance with the following rules to ensure that students, alumni, academic, and administrative staff can benefit from sports activities in a safe and healthy manner.
Operating Hours
Fall & Spring Semesters:
• Weekdays: 08:30 – 22:00
• Weekends: Saturday 09:00 – 12:30
Summer Term:
• Weekdays: 08:30 – 17:30
• Weekends: Closed
Eligibility for Use
Only the following user groups are allowed to access and use the sports hall facilities:
• University students
• Alumni
• Academic staff
• Administrative staff
Visitors, guests, family members, or friends are strictly prohibited from using the facility.
General Rules
- The sports hall is for individual and regular sports activities only.
- It is recommended that users obtain medical clearance before engaging in physical activity. The university is not responsible for any health issues that may arise during sports hall use.
- Users with heart, liver, circulatory disorders, epilepsy, or similar health conditions must inform and obtain permission from the Sports Activities Directorate before using the sports hall.
- The sports hall is not open to individuals under the age of 18.
- No pets, external food and drinks, or personal sports equipment may be brought into the facility.
- Equipment must be used carefully and for its intended purpose.
- Food and drink consumption is prohibited inside the sports hall (except water).
- All equipment must be returned to its original place after use.
- Be considerate of other users; share equipment and space during busy hours.
- Users are responsible for any physical or material damage caused and are liable for any repair/replacement costs.
- In case of overcrowding, equipment use may be limited to a maximum of 30 minutes per user.
- Lockers in the changing rooms are for daily use only. The safety of personal belongings is the user's responsibility.
- Security cameras are active and continuously recording throughout the facility.
- Photo or video recording is not allowed without the consent of other users.
- Personal Bluetooth speakers are not permitted. Music may only be listened to using personal headphones at a volume that does not disturb others.
- Loud conversations, long phone calls, or any disruptive behavior are prohibited.
- The use of alcohol, tobacco, or similar substances is strictly forbidden.
- Bags, totes, and personal items are not allowed inside training areas.
- Walking around the facility shirtless, in towels, or bathrobes (outside the changing rooms) is not allowed.
- Any damaged or malfunctioning equipment must be reported immediately to sports hall staff.
- The sports hall does not provide storage or locker services for valuables.
- Shoes are not allowed in mat-covered areas (e.g., boxing room); training must be done in socks only.
- Users who fail to follow the rules or disregard staff instructions may be asked to leave the facility.
- The university is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
️ Personal Responsibility & Safety
• Each user is responsible for monitoring their own health and physical limitations during workouts.
• Individuals with chronic conditions are advised not to exercise alone.
• In emergencies such as fire or earthquake, emergency exits and guidance signs must be followed.
Clothing & Hygiene Rules
• Entry to the sports hall is only permitted in appropriate sportswear and clean sports shoes.
• Entry with casual, dirty, or sweaty clothing is strictly prohibited.
• Users are required to bring and use their own towel during workouts.
• Areas used must be left clean; personal hygiene is expected.
• Showers should be kept short to avoid inconveniencing others.
• To avoid slipping, wearing slippers after showering is mandatory.
• Towels, clothing, and personal hygiene products must not be left in the sports hall.
In Case of Emergency
In the event of a health issue or emergency within the sports hall, please notify the nearest staff member immediately.
