Course Objectives The aim of this course is to enable the students to have the knowledge and basic skills necessary for the process of translation and to distinguish and identify the type and function of a text in a specific langauge and culture. The course is designed to provide the students with an overall view of French grammar in order to develop their reading, understanding, writing and translation skills.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To raise awareness on subjects such as cultural concepts and strategies to overcome cultural challenges in translation
  • To be able to render translations of various types of sentences from French into Turkish.
Course Content An overall view of French grammar in order to develop reading, understanding, writing and translation skills.
