Course Objectives The course aims to equip the participating students with the ability to recognize the function and type of any text within the given language and culture system.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • gained the ability to locate words, to identify possible meanings,
  • is able to select the correct contextual meaning in another language
  • is able to identify the most common problems in translation and provide solutions to these problems
  • acquired the knowledge to identify the most common problems in translation,
  • developed their skills to use both published and online resources in the process of translation,
  • gained knowledge of terms and concepts related to translation studies,
  • expanded their theoretical knowledge and practical skills about translation as a process and as a profession.
