Course Objectives | The course aims to enable students to understand the essence of interpreting as well as to acquire the necessary skills for interpreting from English into Turkish and vice versa. In this context, it equips students with good listening and comprehension methods such as active listening, analytical thinking and paraphrasing which are required for consecutive and simultaneous interpreting. Paraphrasing the speeches orally in English and Turkish is the main activity of this course because it forms the basis of both consecutive and simultaneous interpreting courses. |
