Course Objectives Developing the ability to represent designs with technical drawing.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Uses drawing as a design language.
  • Makes drawings for manufacturer (parallel projection).
  • Draws big products in small scale.
  • Makes freehand drawing by looking and imagining.
  • Explains the real dimensions of a scaled product.
Course Content Basics of geometry and drawing; introducing both two and three dimensinal concepts of line, proportion and composition, Strengthening both two and three dimensinal perception by working on object, technical drawings; ortographic drawing, axonometric, isometric and oblique drawing.

2 Representation of point, line, plane and products, paper sizes, letterhead, scale.
3 Parallel projection; three views (ortographic), isometric and oblique drawing, drawing methods.
4 View extraction exercise.
5 Isometric drawing.
6 Isometric exercise, oblique(cavalier) drawing.
7 From three views to isometric, from isometric to three views.
