Course Objectives The objective of this course is to introduce the fundamentals of business administration. Issues that have been on the agenda of the business world lately such as globalization, small business management, business ethics will be introduced. Following a brief introduction to functions and skills of management, organization, teamwork and communication concepts will be introduced. Technology and information management will also be covered.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Defines basic concepts of business, the functions of the business and their goals and duties
  • Interpret ethical and social responsbility of the organizations and the problems organizations face today
  • Develop an organizational chart for a company and define the roles for each position
  • Understand fundamental concepts about entrepreneurship and can prepare a business plan
  • Define marketing activities and develop specific strategies for each of them
  • Define fundamental concepts about production and operations management
  • Interpret accounting and financial information of a company, make decisions accordingly
