Course Objectives The primary objective of this internship is to familiarize students with the challenges and considerations involved in surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents. Throughout the internship, students will be exposed to a comprehensive range of pediatric surgical conditions, including congenital anomalies, neonatal surgical emergencies, gastrointestinal disorders, urological conditions, thoracic abnormalities, pediatric oncology cases, and trauma management specific to pediatric patients. By the end of the internship, students will have gained a solid understanding of the diagnosis, evaluation, and surgical treatment of these conditions.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Gather the important information needed for the pediatric surgery history and complete a medical exam
  • Understand of the diagnosis, evaluation, and surgical treatment of common pediatric surgery problems
  • Recognize necessity of multidisciplinary approach to pediatric patients
