Atılım University School of Medicine offers a problem-based, integrated, society-oriented, and student-centered education. Each academic year at Atılım University School of Medicine is a “Term”, comprised of the Fall and Spring semesters. Two Semesters make a Term.
Within the framework of this model, we have divided our six-year education into three stages:
1. Pre-Clinical Period (Terms I, II, III)
2. Clinical Education (Terms IV, V)
3. Internship - General Practitioner Period (Term VI)
The preclinical period (Terms I through III) involve committees where the systems of the human body are studied in a multidisciplinary manner. Terms IV and V involve basic and elective clinical internship studies. The sixth term is where our students serve as interns - general practitioners.
