Course Objectives The principal objective of this course is to introduce students microeconomics. This course focuses on development of basic theory of demand, supply, and market price and explores applications of selected microeconomic problems, such as basic monopoly and competition, and other issues that relate to the role of the pricing system in resource allocation and income distribution.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students will be able to learn how to apply the economic way of thinking to a variety of issues.
  • Students will be able to understand the basic themes in microeconomics
  • Students will be able to set the fundamentals of microeconomics that will be used in the further courses.
Course Content Economics and economic reasoning, demand, supply, market price, selected microeconomic problems, monopoly and competition, oligopoly, resource allocation, role of the pricing system in income distribution.
