Course Objectives The aim of the course is to examine labour market developments in both developed and developing countries within the context of the new international division of labour.
Course Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Understand various micro-macro approaches to labour markets
  • Assess the implications of the new global order on labour markets and labour organizations
  • Gain an appreciation of the different views on labour market issues and be able to express ideas & opinions through in-class presentations and reports
Course Content International division of labor, international labor migration, effects of subcontracting on labor markets, the political and economic effects of labor market regulation imposed on countries by international organizations such as ILO.
