Political Economy is an interdisciplinary social science programme that examines the interrelationship of political and economic processes using methods drawn from economics, political science, and sociology. The programme aims to produce graduates who are able to examine the impact of politics on economic processes and the impact of economic conditions on politics, i.e. the interplay of economic and political processes, in a range of different frameworks such as international political economy; political and economic institutions; institutional reforms and transformations; environmental resource policies; social policy.
