Political Economy is an interdisciplinary social science program that examines the interrelationship of political and economic processes with methods from economics, political science, and sociology. The objective of the program's  is to have graduates who can analyze the effects of politics on economic processes and the influence of economic conditions on politics, namely the interaction of economic and political processes, political and economic institutions; institutional reforms and transformations; environmental resource policies; social policy, and so on.
